Baba & Boo reusable pocket nappies are great all-round, mid-priced nappies.
As pocket nappies you have a waterproof part on the outside (this is the colourful part of the nappy). Stitched to this is a soft layer of fleece (this is the part that's closest to baby's bum). Then, between these layers, you have a pocket, this pocket is 'stuffed with absorbent pads of a bamboo-mix fabric. You get 2 pads with each nappy. You can use just one of these pads (or 'inserts') for a younger baby who requires less absorbency and then add the second as baby gets older and more absorbency is required.
The nappy itself has a series of poppers across it's front. This allows the nappy to be folded down to fit a younger baby and then gradually increased as baby grows.
Sizing:
Baba and Boo Onesize nappies fit from around 10lbs (4.5kg) up to around 35lbs (16kg) - so, pretty much, a few weeks after birth through to potty training.
Baba and Boo Newborn Nappies are different to most 'newborn' nappies in that they should last a little longer. Whereas most newborn nappies will be outgrown by about 12lb, these should fit through to about 18bs (about 6 months-ish).
If you want you can use a liner. This sits between the nappy and baby’s bottom to catch any solid poo and keep wetness away from baby’s skin. Liners aren’t essential (especially for exclusively breastfed babies who don’t produce anything...solid…) but many parents find they make changes easier.
