These Baba & Boo Hemp boosters are perfect for adding extra absorbency to your cloth nappies. Hemp is ideal as a boosting fabric as it provides excellent absorbency without adding too much extra bulk to your nappies.
They measure approx: 37 x 13cm (but expect some shrinkage after washing).
They are made from:
- Outer layers - 55% cotton, 36% hemp, 4.5% viscose, 4.5% linen
- Inner layers - 59% cotton, 41% viscose
Hemp booster pads are super-absorbent without adding too much bulkiness. They are, however, bulkier than the Easy Peasy hemp pads.
Ideal for night times, long car journeys etc.
Quite slow drying - but worth it if you have a super-wee-er.
These boosters will need pre-washing up to 10 times before they reach their maximum absorbency. Hemp naturally contains a lot of oils - these need to be washed out before they pad is fully absorbent. Stretch out the nappy while still damp to keep it nice and flat.
